Missionaries.

Today in Doctrine and Covenants class we had a discussion about missions. We read section 30-36 which was all about this good stuff. Now many would discourage women from going on missions because it is the priesthood holders duty, but the prophets even say that if we desire to go on one we can. I've been getting the feeling lately that I want to serve a mission. If girls could go at the age of 19 I would have been one of the first to sign up! Its really funny how perspectives change, because this time two years ago I would have been like um a mission are you crazy? Well here is my reasoning. 1. The scriptures say that the families of missionaries are given blessings (and since I love my family more than anything why wouldn't I want to give them that), 2. I am not even close to wanting to get married nor will I want to when I am 21, 3. I would love to be in a spiritual high for over a year!, 4. Many of my best friends would also like to serve missions, 5. and finally in the temple I got an overwhelming feeling that I should do it. I would be the first girl in my family to go on a mission so that would totally be awesome as well. My brother currently says he doesn't want to serve a mission, so someone's gotta do it right?

I LOVE MISSIONARIES. Honestly it's such a wonderful thing and I love writing all my friends and my cousin while they serve the Lord. They are so awesome! My best friend Jayden Tuttle has been on his mission about a year and a half so I am so excited for him and when he will return in June! My cousin Grant just left on his mission this September as well and my friend Dallon. My bestie Justin will also be going on his mission soon. Its such an awesome time in all of their lives. I'm so proud of them and the decisions they have made to get them to this point. GIRLS SUPPORT OUR YOUNG MEN! :)
